This Kennedy Center Teacher's guide was created for the full length show, Willy Wonka (not Willy Wonka, Jr.). That production used puppets to represent several characters (Charlie's Grandparents and Oompa Loompas). MLT's production does not use puppets in its production. The full length version also had actors portraying multiple characters whereas the MLT production cast enough actors so that each actor has only one character to portray.
