The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Open Seating Nights)
Oct 06, 2011 - Oct 12, 2011
We are greatly honored to have Mayor Cheri Barry star in our celebrated opening musical. Full of fun and gusto, the season opener is a thigh slapping good natured musical full of tuneful songs and bright, entertaining dances. This Tony Award – winning show is surprisingly inoffensive, despite the provocative title. As they say on stage, “there ain’t nothing dirty goin’ on” at the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and “there ain’t nothing dirty goin’ on” at the Meridian Little Theatre! It’s all good, clean, slightly profane fun!

Dashing Through The Snow (Open Seating Nights)
Dec 01, 2011 - Dec 07, 2011
For the third straight season M.L.T. is presenting a southern comedy by the authors of “Hallelujah Girls” and “Dixie Swim Club”. It's four days before Christmas in the tiny town of Tinsel, Texas, and a colorful parade of eccentric guests arrive at the Snowflake Inn and deck the halls with holiday hilarity! Trina, the harried, yet upbeat innkeeper of this B&B has more than she can handle coping with these nuttier-than-a-fruitcake lodgers. Add some self-involved actors from a lower-than-low budget touring production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Mix in the Futrelle sisters - Honey Raye, Twink, Frankie and Rhonda Lynn and events takes a surprising and delightful turn that leads to a laugh-til-your-sides-ache climax.

Everyone is familiar with the immortal yarn of Little Red Riding Hood. But, have you heard this popular story from the point of view of the Big, Bad Wolf? In this hilarious musical, our compassionate and sympathetic beast is understandably upset. Feeling that he has been misrepresented in this well-known children's parable, he is determined to defend his own good intentions by revealing the side of Little Red Riding Hood that is rarely shown to the outside world.
The Fox on the Fairway (Open Seating Nights)
Feb 23, 2012 - Feb 29, 2012
A charmingly madcap adventure about love, life, and man’s eternal love affair with golf. A tribute from Ken Ludwig (Lend Me A Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo) to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, The Fox On the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it's a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers' classics.
